Description
These black-eyed Susans really stand out against the wood fence. Black-eyed Susans are gorgeous biennial yellow flowers with a center that looks black but is actually dark brown. Black-eyed Susans were growing in Maryland as far back as the colonial days. The old rustic slat storage shed is authentic and was moved to this location and it has really held up over all these years. This scene is located just outside of Cherokee, North Carolina . Mountains all around, beautiful green meadows. This old homestead farm has grown since 1961. It has several buildings that were dismantled and reconstructed to show what farm life was like in pioneer days . Nature is all around you. There are many national parks and forests around this area which is located in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina.
