Elephants are nurturing to their young and so great degree of family unity. The herd has a matriarch at the head and the female elephants raise the young calves. Elephants have a great memory which helps them lead the herd to water, and to food. This photo was taken at the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, South Carolina. The elephants will no longer be at the zoo and by the end of 2019, they will be making trip to a new preserve.

I love being out in nature and shooting landscapes and just things that I find interesting. I love animals and find that each one is unique in their colors and personalities. If I alter a photograph I try to mention the changes that I make because I think it is important for you, the viewer, to know how the photo was created. Some changes are really obvious, so words are not necessary. Graphic designs just set my mind free and I can unleash my creative side to create some very unusual, unique and one of a kind designs.
